Opening Timeline
Opening a new high school is a big job, but with the guidance of the Chesterton Schools Network and the help and prayers of our community it can be done. Here is our timeline for activities working towards the Fall 2022 opening.
November 2021
- Hold info meetings in Grass Valley and Nevada City to share the vision of the Chesterton Academy with the local community.
- Start developing a list of students who want to attend and community members who want to help out.
- Plan Fundraising, Admissions, and Staffing activities
December 2021
- Start accepting applications for Admission
- Start Fundraising activities
January 2022
- Start the search for a Headmaster
February 2022
- Hold info an info meeting in Auburn to share the vision of the Chesterton Academy with the wider community
- Academic Calendar finalized
- First round admission applications due
- Finalize location selection and share upgrade plans
March 2022
- First round admission tests
- First round admission interviews
- Start the faculty hiring process
April 2022
- First round acceptance notifications
- Hire Headmaster
- Second round admission applications due
- Second round admission tests
May 2022
- Second round admission interviews
- Second round acceptance notifications
- Finalize location upgrades
June 2022
- Finalize faculty hiring
- Faculty training and preparation

- Annual Chesterton Conference
